What it is
Coaching built entirely around you. It is the only thing we offer, because it is the thing that works.
Your training starts with understanding your goals, movement, training history, lifestyle and what you want to accomplish. From there, your coach builds a fully individualized program where every exercise, load, progression and training decision has a reason.
Every session is dedicated entirely to you. Your coach watches how you move, refines technique, manages intensity and adjusts your training in real time based on how you are progressing and how you are performing that day.
There is no generic workout to follow and no one else's program to fit into. Your training evolves with you.
Two ways to train with us
1-on-1: the full hour is yours. Your coach is beside every set, which is the fastest way to rebuild technique, work around an injury or chase a specific goal on a timeline.
Semi-private: a coach shared by a few people, each on their own program and their own loads. You keep the individual plan and most of the attention, you gain company and accountability, and the per-session cost comes down. Semi-private personal training explains it in full.
Most people do not need to decide before the consult. Tell us your goal and your week and we will tell you honestly which fits.
Who it is for
- Busy adults 35 and up: people who want to be strong for the next thirty years and do not have hours to waste guessing.
- You want the highest level of personalization: every session and progression is designed specifically around you.
- You have a specific goal: strength, performance, body composition or an important event with a clear timeline.
- You want to rebuild movement and technique: dedicated coaching allows us to work through the details that make better movement and long-term progress possible.
- You are returning to training: if you have been cleared to exercise but need greater individualization, your coach can adapt the training around your current ability.
- You want accountability: one coach, a booked appointment and a training plan that notices when you miss a week.
How it starts
It starts with understanding you, not throwing you into a workout.
We will talk through your goals, training history, lifestyle, previous experience and what has or has not worked before. From there, we will assess how you move and establish your starting point.
Your coach then creates your training plan and continues to refine it as you progress. We do not just coach the workout in front of you. We coach where your training is going next.
And as you progress, your coach can help determine whether staying 1-on-1 or moving to semi-private sessions is the best path forward.
This is coaching without compromise: your plan, your pace, your progression.
Your coach
You work with one coach, and the relationship is the product. They learn how you move on a good day and a bad one, which cues land with you, and which exercises your body quietly dislikes. That accumulated knowledge is something a single session cannot buy.
Matching happens on your consult and turns on three things: what you are training for, what your body currently objects to, and which hours you can genuinely defend. If the fit turns out to be wrong, we change it. Meet the coaches covers what every coach here is responsible for and how the matching works.
Mixing 1-on-1 and semi-private
Plenty of members combine the two: a private session as the steering wheel, where technique gets fixed and the block gets set, with semi-private sessions carrying the volume around it. Because both formats run on the same written program and the same record, nothing is lost moving between them.
How to dose that as your training matures is covered in how often to see a personal trainer, and whether a single weekly session is enough on its own in personal training once a week.
Homework between sessions
When your program includes work to do on your own, every movement your coach assigns has a matching page in the exercise library, and the workouts section carries complete self-run sessions for travel weeks and busy stretches, so the plan survives the weeks the schedule does not.
Finding the studio
We are on 3rd Street West at number 142B, two blocks up the slope from the water in Lower Lonsdale. The SeaBus terminal at Lonsdale Quay is a six to eight minute walk downhill on the way home, and a slightly more honest one on the way here.
The studio runs 6:00 am to 8:00 pm every day, which gives private sessions a genuinely wide range of bookable hours rather than the usual before-work and after-work squeeze. Directions, parking and a photo tour are on Our Space.
Common questions
Do I need to get fit before starting?
That myth keeps people on the couch for years. Coaching exists for the start line, and the first session is an assessment rather than a test.
How often should I train?
Two to three sessions a week while you are learning. Many members later hold one private session and build the rest of the week around semi-private sessions.
What does it cost?
It depends on format and package. Ask on your consult: fifteen minutes, zero pressure, real numbers.
What is the difference between 1-on-1 and semi-private?
In 1-on-1 the whole hour is yours. In semi-private a coach is shared by a few people, each still on their own program and loads, which lowers the per-session cost and adds company. The consult is where we work out which fits you.
Who will my coach be?
We match you on your free consult, based on your goals, your injury history and the hours you can actually defend. Tell us if you have a preference. If the fit turns out to be wrong, say so and we will change it.
How long is a session?
Ask when you book. Session lengths are set by the schedule rather than fixed forever, and we would rather give you the current answer than print one that goes stale. Call (236) 868-9964 or raise it on your consult.
